Van Herpe, a troop leader in theRhode Island Girl Scout Council, wanted to create a Girl Scout patch program for painting. After years of research, Maureen successfully created a patch program for her council. She also developed the following guide for Girl Scout leaders and painters to use as they work together to establish similar programs in their area.
